When we measure magnetism, we measure “magnetic induction” or “magnetic flux density” It’s unfortunate that the industry uses both terms Gauss and Tesla and these two measurement systems are different. Both Nikola Tesla and Carl Friedrich Gauss contributed significantly to the world of science and each is honored with the use of his name as a unit of measurement.Tesla has replaced Gauss as the primary measurement of magnetic induction and one Tesla equals 10 gauss.
